Fast, fun, furious puppetry

Short bits of brilliance from all the festival stars including the WONDERHEADS, Neville Tranter, Dockteaterverkstan and Circo de Nada.  The variety-cabaret format includes special guests the Wind-Up Arsenal, hte Wishweweres, and Anne Lalancette.

Headliner this year is Marsian, a Los Angeles- puppet artist, chanteuse, and high-art drag personality. Marsian brings “Fudgie’s Death” a Haus of Marsian neo-noir tale of desperation and depravity surrounding the troubled life of an ice-cream heiress told via security cams and table-top pop-up books.

The Dolly Wiggler sells out fast, so get tickets early.

Marsian

As a writer, director, producer and puppet designer Marsian makes work for adult audiences that teeters on the precipice of cute and abject, and is informed by breaking news, tabloid lore and popular culture.

“a crazy hall of mirrors, flashing bits of a story from multiple angles, held together by a strong idosyncratic personal aesthetic.  And lots of fake fur” – Puppetry International.
